Service

Vortechs HVAC, Inc. services ductless and ducted mini-split systems,  as well as conventional A/C split systems. A service appointment focuses on an inspection of the condenser, compressor, refrigerant charge, electrical connections, wiring, thermostat, air handler/evaporator, air filter, condensate pump, float switch,

duct work, drain piping, and line set condition. Our objective is

to explain your system to you and to make the necessary adjustments and repairs so your system is working efficiently and reliably.

Installations

If a customer is interested in installing air conditioning, our Sales Manager will visit the home and determine possible options.  Some homes simply are better suited to mini-split systems, while some

homes have the needed space for ductwork.

Many of our customers have older conventional, ducted A/C split systems and find the air handler unit and/or the condenser have failed.  Our expert technicians can assess the condition of your components and advise what brand and unit type is best for replacement.

A major reason customers may find they need to have a new A/C system installed is the phase out of R-22 refrigerant.  Older A/C systems use R-22 refrigerant, which was found to deplete the ozone layer resulting in limited production and import since 2010.  As of 2020, R-22 has been phased out and is only available from recovered, recycled or reclaimed supplies.  This means if your current R-22 system fails, you will need to replace your system with equipment which uses R-410A refrigerant.  If you find yourself in this predicament, we will review your options with you so you can make the best choice for you and your home.
